The last step is the first one

After 12 months of intensive work, the café+co Explorers handed over the Master Guideline to the café+co Management Team on 25 January 2024. This day marked not only the end of the café+co Explorer journey but also the start of a new era for café+co. The café+co Explorers have shown that, with professionalism, expertise, vision and cross-border collaboration, challenges can become opportunities.

The 14 café+co Explorers from all café+co countries have done great work over the last twelve months. Their task was to explore the future of café+co, identify new business opportunities and develop innovative solutions. And they did so with passion, dedication, and creativity.

Strategy development on a broad basis.We are getting ready to better cope with uncertainties and unprecedented developments and the knowledge to do so is within each and every one in our company. We choose a participative process of strategy development instead of a top-down process of strategy implementation. All countries and all companies of the whole café+co group take part.

Here is how we will do it

We use an approved scientific approach called the Scenario Method. Along six different trend fields we picture how life will be in 2035 and what this means for our business model. Only then we develop strategies and action plans on how to act best in these surroundings. This will make us well-prepared and give us the freedom to act successfully.

Designing our future

Especially in ever changing times we need to be well prepared. Change is given but opportunity favors the prepared mind. The better we adjust to what we think might happen, the better we will stay successful and the better we can stay ahead of competition and crisis. We need to get more flexible in our thinking and open up beyond our daily business. So let’s step out of daily challenges and take a closer look to what lays ahead of us.

Our future stands on a solid basis

We have been selling coffee for over 50 years, and if we take a quick look at our current figures, we can be proud: Quality- and service Leader in 9 countries throughout Europe and 500 million cups of coffee sold annually and a total of 60.000 vending maschines we serve daily. How do we do that? In knowing our markets, being close to our customers, and being open to trends and innovations. That's how we developed our great legacy and our strong brand!

The cafè+co Explorer Team

In January 2023 the team of 14 Explorers from five countries started its exciting journey. Over the course of one year, they will travel and together with all members within the café+co family they will lay out the path into a successful future. Here they are: The café+co Explorers!
