Intensive work for a resilient café+co
The task of the café+co Explorers is the development and description of different scenarios which café+co will potentially have to tackle in the future. The café+co Explorers thus set to work in Copenhagen on formulating these scenarios in detail. The text description of the scenarios was extensive, with no less than 20 pages per scenario. For the café+co Explorers it was about looking at the detailed content, scrutinising it and discussing what these representations actually mean and what we will also have to leave behind because it could simply no longer be important in the future. The creation of collages for each scenario was a further step to depict the visions of the future.
Along 55 influencing factors, each of the scenarios developed was examined and corresponding measures derived. The result of this detailed brainstorming session is impressive: 79 flipcharts full of content that form a basis for the future economic alignment of café+co.
In the process, it was shown that it is important sometimes to think out of the box and detach oneself from existing beliefs. The work of the café+co Explorers is not only an inspiration for the café+co Group but also an example of the exceptional skills that exist among our employees. Promoting them and bringing them to the fore is an impressive experience and insight from the café+co Explorer project.
What happens next?
After the intensive work of the café+co Explorers, the project sponsors, the operational managing directors of all café+co companies in Austria and abroad, are called upon in October. They will now intensively examine the café+co future scenarios and contribute their perspective and specific proposals for measures. Together with the proposals from the café+co Explorers, these will be incorporated into a strategic master guideline for the future development of the café+co Group.
