Big Data and AI: from London into the future

At the start of March, the café+co Explorer team made a stop-off in London. On the agenda were several action-packed workshop sessions and a visit to the Big Data and AI World conference. The events highlighted the fact that data and technology already play a crucial role in our business operations and will become even more important in future years.

The Big Data and AI World conference, which featured exhibitors and attendees from all over the world, was a very inspiring event. It provided the café+co Explorer team with exciting insights into digital customer experiences and taught them how digitised data can help us to better understand the needs of our customers. The keynote speakers from Shell and ADIDAS gave impressive talks on the ways in which industry leaders are already using data and artificial intelligence (AI) to increase their business success.

Key findings from London:

  1. Data is more important than gut instincts.
  2. A good data strategy is indispensable.
  3. Data should be translated into easily understandable language so that it is accessible to everyone.
  4. Artificial intelligence is a useful tool and part of our future.
  5. Ethical principles should be taken into consideration, but AI is nothing to be afraid of.

If the events in London have made one thing clear to the café+co Explorer team, it’s that we must be open to new technologies such as AI, which will help us to understand our customers even better than we already do.
